Abstract

The problems of ensuring safety in construction sites with a high degree of risk exposes the weaknesses of existing systems, often coupled with the ever shifting and risky nature of these sites. In this document, we present a more aggressive safety management approach which highlights the value of the continuous monitoring of specific construction activities and surrounding conditions. By merging data from several sensors and monitoring equipment, the system instantly identifies critical safety breaches such as access control violations, equipment failures, or exposure to hazardous materials. Serves are alerts are issued instantly to safety management which allow fast actions to be taken to avert incidents before they happen. This method uses requant mapped data recipients and time critical messages to increase the state of awareness and the information processing and actions taken on site. Tests conducted in live construction sites demonstrate marked improvement in hazard detection and response times which showcases the ability of the system to reduce construction site risks while facilitating aggressive construction site reduction and safer construction practices.
