Abstract

This paper critically examines the growing dependency on Artificial Intelligence (AI) in recruitment and selection processes within Bangalore’s Information Technology (IT) sector. Rather than merely enhancing hiring efficiency, AI is increasingly shaping organizational hiring philosophies, often prioritizing algorithmic logic over personalized assessment. The study explores the implications of this shift, including reduced human interaction, potential bias embedded in AI algorithms, and the marginalization of unconventional talent. By analyzing current trends and company practices, the research underscores the need for cautious adoption and stronger regulatory oversight to ensure fairness, inclusivity, and accountability in AIdriven recruitment frameworks.
