Abstract
The current study aimed to determine the level of self-confidence among
secondary school students at Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya, Lakhimpur, Assam, and to analyze differences based on gender and class level. A self-
confidence scale created by the researcher was used to collect data, and
statistical techniques such as percentage analysis, mean, standard deviation, and t-test were used for data analysis. The results showed that most students had an average level of self-confidence, while fewer students fell into the low and high categories. There was a significant difference in self-confidence between male and female students, with females exhibiting higher levels of confidence. Students in Class X showed greater self-confidence than those in Class IX, and there were also notable differencesbetween the two groups.
