Recent decades have witnessed significant impacts from climate change. Due to climate change glacier are retreating, shrinking, and disappearing worldwide. Studying glaciers from a wide range of remote sensing platforms and techniques has become an expanding field over the past decade. This study presents an assessment of changes in extent of glaciers in kumaun Himalayas. In this study, Remote sensed satellite based datasets have been used for extent of glacier. Landsat 5 TM, landsat 7 ETM+ and landsat 8 OLI/TIRS were taken and studies for three time periods, 1997, 2008 and 2017. The visual interpretation methods were applied to identify the glacier & their extent using multitemporal data. Cartosat version -3 DEM was used to identify the topography of the study area. The result depicts that Glacier area in the current study of the kumaun Himalaya for the year 1997, 2008, and 2017 are 435.15km² , 290.7km² , and 239.85km².The glaciers over the years are showing a decline in their area. In this study a challenge has been made to quantitatively define the glacier extent and their rate of decrease.

Sudha Murthy is a contemporary writer who tries to bring social reformation and gender equality in her works. She is portraying the image o,f innocent women that lose their identity due to gender discrimination in society. The Present paper explores how gender conflicts are part of Sudha Murthy's works. The study examines how her female characters reject male domination, domestic violence, injustice, oppression, and traditional norms constructed by the patriarchal system. Further, the study will analyze how her female characters' rebellious nature helps them to fight for their existence and self-identity.

In the scenario of globalization foreign trade has become the strength of any economy. The textile and apparel industry in India ranks next to agriculture sector and plays a vital role in the economy. The textile sector captures a distinct place in our country. It is one of the earliest sector come into India since decades. It accounts nearly 30 percent of total export and contributes 14 percent of total industrial production. The purpose of this research study is to investigate the composition of foreign trade of principle commodities of textile and apparels and direction of textile trade with top 10 countries. To analyze these statistical tools used here are CAGR, percentage and indices. The study reveals that there is shift in the composition and direction of trade in past five years. The CAGR of commodities like Readymade garments, Manmade textiles, wool and woolen textile, Handloom products shows negative result and there is a need to take appropriate action in this regard to boost the export of such products.

The present study was conducted to evaluate the allelopathic effects of stem and root leachates of Pluchea lanceolata on seed germination and seedling growth of two wheat varieties (UP 2338 and HUW 234). Different concentrations (5%, 10%, 15%, and 20%) of leachates Pluchea lanceolata were applied under laboratory conditions. Results revealed that increasing concentration of leachates significantly reduced germination percentage, shoot length, and root length. Root growth was found to be more sensitive than shoot growth. Root leachate exhibited stronger inhibitory effects compared to stem leachate. Among the two varieties, HUW 234 showed relatively higher tolerance than UP 2338. The study highlights the importance of allelopathy in crop–weed interactions.
