Abstract
This study examined the relationship between climate change and global politics in the contemporary age. The method of systematic literature review was applied to analyse the recent academic research that was published in the period between 2020 and 2025. The major databases were searched to gather articles, which were filtered according to PRISMA rules and analysed via thematic analysis. According to the findings, climate change influences international cooperation, diplomacy, energy policy, as well as global governance. Climate action and the creation of a common goal are assisted by global institutions and climate agreements, helping countries to coordinate action and create goals. Nonetheless, effective standards to enforce climate policies remain stifled by political issues, economic gains, and societal polarisation. The paper stated that effective climate action requires more international cooperation and fully committed political action. The review leads to comprehending climate change as an environmental and political issue.
