Abstract

The tribological and thermal properties of aluminum alloy 7075 (Al7075) are crucial for its performance in engineering applications. This study investigates the effect of potassium hexatitanate (Ky) addition on the tribological behavior of Al7075 alloy through comprehensive experimental analysis. The experimental methodology involves varying parameters such as sliding distance, sliding speed, load, and temperature to assess wear, coefficient of friction, and thermal effects. The results demonstrate that the addition of Ky enhances wear resistance and reduces friction coefficients across different conditions. Moreover, Ky addition contributes to improved thermal stability, mitigating temperature rise during sliding contact. Analysis of the findings reveals correlations between wear, friction, and temperature, highlighting the mechanisms governing tribological behavior. Comparison with previous studies underscores the unique advantages of Ky as an additive for aluminum alloys. These findings offer valuable insights for optimizing the tribological performance of Al7075 alloy and its potential applications in engineering.

Abstract

This paper examines militarization issues in Taiwan from positive and negative standpoints. I view militarization in the first sense simply as “the action or practice of equipping or providing a nation with soldiers and other military resources. The action or course of giving something a military character.” Related to this is militarism in the strict sense, “the belief or the desire of a government or citizens that a state should sustain a robust military ability and to use it aggressively to expand national interests and values.” Some have written that militarization theory has its roots in the conception of militarism, proper, which has to do with the veneration of the military and war as a value. This definition, including “militarism,” extends the view of just where “militarization” can lead into unexplored areas of attitude, belief and value. These social/military moves can have both positive and negative consequences.

Abstract

Moral Governance has been the call of the newly established government of the Bangsamoro after a successful agreement between the government of the Philippines and the Moro Islamic Liberation Front. Moral Governance is believed to be a crucial step against graft and corruption. However, this step raises questions about its locus and maxims. This paper aims to answer these questions by employing a literature review as an approach. Taqwa, Shura, Talklif, and Al-Amanah have been found as the maxims of moral governance firmly rooted in the Qur’an and Hadith. Thus, the application of these maxims leads to the desired outcomes of the Bangsamoro Government.

Abstract

Mahatma Gandhi's educational philosophy and its relevance in contemporary India. Drawing from the Rig-Veda and Aristotle, it defines education as a means to foster self-reliance, selflessness, and holistic development. Gandhi's rejection of colonial education led to his proposition of Basic Education, aimed at empowering all strata of society and fostering societal progress. Emphasizing practical learning and character development, Gandhi envisioned an education system aligned with national aspirations and societal needs. However, despite Gandhi's visionary insights, the present education system in India faces various challenges such as unemployment, lack of practicality, moral decline, and disrespect for manual labor. This research seeks to address these issues by examining Gandhian educational principles and proposing reforms. By integrating moral education, practical learning, and appreciation for manual labor, it aims to build a robust education system capable of nurturing human resources and fostering national development.Ultimately, the study advocates for the application of Gandhi's educational ideals to shape a progressive and inclusive education system, aligned with the needs and aspirations of contemporary India. In contemporary education systems, the emphasis on mere literacy often sidelines the holistic development of individuals. Mahatma Gandhi's philosophy of education, rooted in the comprehensive nurturing of body, mind, and spirit, provides a compelling alternative. This study explores the relevance of Gandhian principles in addressing the pressing issues plaguing modern education. The current educational landscape is marked by a disconnect between learning and real-world application, leading to disengagement and a lack of intrinsic motivation among students. This disconnect contributes to a host of societal challenges, including unemployment, unrest, and the erosion of moral values. Gandhi's vision advocates for an education that transcends rote learning, focusing instead on cultivating skills such as problem-solving, communication, and empathy.Central to Gandhi's philosophy is the concept of 'Nai Talim' or basic education, which integrates intellectual, physical, and spiritual development. Through hands-on learning and productive crafts, students not only acquire practical skills but also imbibe values like self-sufficiency and dignity of labor. This approach fosters a deeper understanding of character, emphasizing humility, service, and national consciousness. Gandhi’s emphasis on cultural education underscores the importance of character formation over academic achievement. He envisions education as a means to foster global harmony and social cohesion, promoting mutual cooperation and understanding. Moreover, he advocates for the integration of ethics and morality into the educational framework, emphasizing the pursuit of truth and non-violence. In contrast to the prevailing emphasis on academic credentials, Gandhi prioritizes the development of individual character and moral integrity. He emphasizes the importance of humility and selflessness in utilizing knowledge for the betterment of society.

Abstract

Digestive function, psychological stability, and overall health are all impacted by the gut-brain axis, a complex network of bidirectional signals that connects the GI tract to the central nervous system. Ancient Ayurvedic texts are in harmony with modern scientific understanding of the importance of gut flora, immunological signalling, and neurological connections. The Ayurvedic theory of health emphasises the interdependence of the Sharira (body), Manas (mind), and Atma (consciousness), with proper digestion playing a pivotal role in maintaining harmony among these three aspects of being. Together, the vagus nerve, spinal nerve, hormonal and immunological signalling, and microbial metabolites create the microbiome gut-brain axis, which has a vast reciprocal relationship with the human brain. Additionally, the gut flora may be impacted by lifestyle variables such drug usage, lack of physical exercise, stress, sleep habits, and junk food consumption. Negative effects on microbiome balance and metabolite release might result from chronic stress and sleep deprivation. A number of medical difficulties have been associated with dysbiosis, including gastrointestinal illnesses, metabolic diseases (such as diabetes and obesity), autoimmune disorders (such as rheumatoid arthritis and multiple sclerosis),
